    THIRTY THREE


    April, May, June, and July have been unusual months for me.  As blogging/social media have been in my life for the past eight years, it was strange to step away from it all; yet, for four months, that is what I have done.

    The beginning of April was incredibly difficult, one of the hardest times of my life, because a tragedy struck… and it struck me to my core.  I choose not to go into the details of this tragedy because, though I broadcast much of my existence online, there are some moments that I consciously protect as they are private, personal, and sacred.  The beginning of April held one such moment.

    As a skincare obsessed individual, I am very picky about what I incorporate into my daily routine.

    Before I ever promote a product to BA Readers, I test the product out myself + I never recommend products that don’t meet my very specific standards.

    To jump to the bottom line: I am deeply impressed with Savor Beauty’s ingredients, process, + the countertop worthy containers and branding.

    Though a day late, this is my Valentine’s Day post. I was unable to get around to it yesterday for the very best of reasons: I was wrapped up in each minute that I got to spend with my love … he has a way of creating space for the moment… he has a calm sort of magic to him… a master of the art of the slowdown, the savor, + the subtle shift that the best kind of love feels like.

    I operate in the bold + the bright, the black + the white, the contrast + the commitment.  He is a watercolor + a soft wash, all kinds of gorgeous gray, afternoon light + summer shade. I am the absolute + he is the in between… without the other, our spectrum would be incomplete + missing so much beauty. I am so grateful for this man… and for the way he fills in the pieces of my world.
