Autumn’s bounty on display
Defiantly served al fresco
Afternoons overflowing with
Wine
White flowers
And whispered promises
Slurred on the season’s edge
Hushed into the heart’s corners
Stored for the winter ahead.

Wake slowly + wildly
With salt water thighs
And champagne laughter
Belly full of pancakes
+ eyes full of wonder.

Wild woman
Keep your connection with
The lands of water + sand
Warm your soul in the heat
And take your hearth’s fire home

She was angry at Paris
It had left her full of urges
Everything felt pink
Everything felt soft
Everything felt important
The only people who understood
Were still in Paris
She was alone with her
Awakened femininity

Leave the long soak.
Take the long walk.
Through farm through desert
Through whiskey filled mornings
Soaked up with pancakes.

She darted from vista to vision
With her collection of hats
Others got lost in the hob nobbing shoulders
Through the shuffle, she was found
She saw the world through her own
Rosé fueled glasses
