I rarely use this blog as a platform for social change… but today is one of those days when I feel the need to encourage our generation (Millennials, I’m talking to you!) to give back. Let’s NOT be known as the self-absorbed, entitled, and selfish generation… let’s be known as the generation that didn’t just insist on change, but actually facilitated that change.

The art of Alana Clumeck is stirring. The animals that she brings to life with her paintbrush are both colorful and somewhat human. I am lucky enough to know Alana in person; she is delightful. She is like a contained ray of sunshine… ethereal and glow-y.
In the throes of my never-ending Pinterest obsession, I stumbled across the print above. I was hooked. Who was this artist? I had to know. After a little investigating, I found Holly Casto of Charm & Gumption. Her artwork is simultaneously strong + feminine… and it’s totally inspiring.

Merve Ozaslan‘s artwork is a whimsical and thought-provoking collision of photography and collage. Ozaslan is based out of Istanbul, Turkey; as I just returned from Istanbul in September, I found her work all the more fascinating.
