I’ve always had an interest in health and wellness solutions found in nature.  This year, I developed a {healthy} obsession with essential oils.  One of my 2017 Resolutions is to turn to all things holistic first.

2016 was my first year using oils.  The results have motivated me to utilize oils in my daily routines.  I wake up to an oil blend called Burst {citrus + mint} diffusing through my room; it gets my day started on the right foot… full of energy and happiness.  I inhale a combination of lavender + frankincense in moments of overwhelm for an instant sense of calm.  I fall asleep to the scent of Unwind {lavender + bergamot} on my pillow for a deeper and more restful sleep.

I’ve found that my overall mood has improved; I feel more focused, calmer, happier, and more energetic.

If you’re looking to start your year off on a hippie-dippie granola-mermaid kind of a kick {and who wouldn’t want that?} by bathing your body and senses in essential oils… I’m offering my readers {as a thank you for another great year together!} a coupon code for the best oils I’ve found.

Enter the code EXCLUSIVE20 at checkout to receive 20% off any of the oils, diffusers, or essential oil kits on the site.

Welcome to Winter: Hot chocolate.  The holidays.  Time with your loved ones.  And… dry skin.

As I’ve gotten older and (I’d like to think) wiser, I’ve learned to take care of my skin… and I want to share my routine with you.

I have worked out a skincare deal just in time for the holidays for Blonder Ambitions readers (I appreciate you so!).  Continue reading and find your holiday code at the bottom.

Once a week, I spend one hour “masking.”  I combine three different masks. I’ve found that this combination gets rid of dry winter skin, diminishes blackheads and pore size, and fades wrinkles (it’s amazing how important the concept of “anti-aging” becomes when you hit 31… tip to the younger ladies: start your anti-aging routine now… your skin will thank you later).

Step 1 in my skin routine: I use a Glacial Marine Mud Mask to draw impurities and toxins out of the skin.

Ready for some science? The basic molecular structure of this mask is negatively charged.  The positive ions that naturally occur in the mud and positively charged impurities bind to the mud’s negative charge and can then be rinsed away.

In basic language? This mask draws out all of the bad stuff.  What does that mean for you? Less breakouts. Fewer blackheads. Smaller pores.

Onto Step 2…

Jord Wooden Watch 1
If you are a reader of Blonder Ambitions or if you follow @blonderambitions on Insta, then you already know that I’m a bit of a bohemian | gypsy | hippie … so anything that incorporates elements of nature with the world of fashion is right up my alley.  I recently heard about wooden watches and I instantly became curious…

Haney Prêt-à-Couture is a collection that embodies the “luxe details and sleek silhouettes of the 70s” and the “drama and sophistication of Old Hollywood” {a pretty lethal combination if you ask me}.  It’s the silhouette that I feel really sets this line apart… dressing women in long lines is flattering and customizable options for each look allow you to make the piece your own {being 6’2″, I am grateful to be able to make the piece longer… or shorter, if I’m feeling especially daring that day}.

Check out for some of their fully customizable Prêt-à-Couture options. Each option is customizable in a myriad of ways… some allow you to alter length, add or subtract sleeves, change the type of metal used in embellishing the item, or change the color altogether.

Additionally, like all things based out of Los Angeles… Haney received some pretty amazing celebrity endorsements from some women who look absolutely stunning in dresses from the Haney line {though… and it’s my personal favorite… Haney carries jumpsuits, too}!

I will be covering the Haney trunk show in Montecito, California next week… stay tuned for pictures from the event.  I cannot wait to check out the line and meet the designer, Mary Alice Haney.
